We have finished Baby L.J.'s nursery! I really love how it turned out and enjoy spending time in there getting things ready. Tootsie, however, is not too excited about the room. She growls when I am in there too long.
My Mom sewed the curtain valances, changing pad cover, dresser runner and pillow. Fabric is from Hobby Lobby. The long gray curtains are from Target and Katie was nice enough to track them down in Omaha for me since our Target only had one in stock.
My brother got the bookshelf for us from Target and the animal print on top from Home Goods. The shelf is definitely full, but I plan to organize it more once baby arrives and I know what I will need out. The little drawers next to the bookshelf hold our nursing supplies, burp cloths, bibs and bath supplies. We also have a bouncer ready to go. The two gray baskets on the bottome shelf hold 4 homemade blankets from Betsy, Mom, Jennifer and Ann.
My aunt and uncle gave us a table and two chairs. Ann gave us the toy basket and we got Sophie from Michelle, Scout from Kellee, a taggy blanket from Becca, a gray elephant from my Mom and Dad and a taggy doggy from Kristin.
Sara and Nick bought us the dresser and I got new knobs and painted it gray. The photo frame is also from Sara and Nick along with the owl bank. We already had the humidifier and lamp. And the awesome photo is from Nellie Smith Photography.
The crib is from Holly and Ben. Matthew painted it white and Kellee gave us the mattress. David gave us the Boppy, and my Mom found the breathable bumpers at a rummage sale. Holly gave us the crib skirt and I got the sheet at Pottery Barn Kids. The little rocker and Burnie Bear are mine from childhood and Kellee gave us the awesome motorcycle rocker.
My Mom also made us the bulletin board to store cards and photos.
And, most of the books are shower gifts. I told my Mom (a former librarian) that she will have to come organize the books. And the glider in the first photo was purchased from Target.com and is from my grandparents.
Three more weeks until Baby L.J.'s arrival....if he or she is on time!
