Happy New Year 2013! (New Year's History)

Matthew and I have spent every New Year's Eve together since 2006.  We started dating in November 2006 after being set up by our friends Nick and Sara.

New Years 2007

We attended a Sioux City Musketeer's hockey game with friends.  Then we went to the Icky Nickel to watch the ball drop and enjoy some libations.

We drove down to Omaha for Betsy's New Year's party.  It was quite a good time, but Betsy and Matthew learned to not mix White Russians with beer and champagne.  Not a good combo.  Matthew and I spent the night at Emily and her boyfriend's condo with the cockerspaniel's Chester and Libby.  The good news was on our way down to Omaha my oncologist called to say I was cancer free according to my PET scan!

Beau and Amy were back from Connecticut.  We had a "dress up" party, which Matthew was not excited about.  We told him if he tried on Emily's puffy paint dress he could wear jeans. It worked!  (I can't find a photo of Matthew in the dress, but I will keep looking.) (This is me and Sara....I don't seem to have one of Matthew and I from this year.)

New Years 2009

Matthew and I flew to Orlando, Florida on Jan. 2nd to attend the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's conference.  We spent lots of time on Disney property in the freezing cold!   So we stayed home for New Year's 2009 to get rested up for our vacation.

2010

No photos this year. We went to dinner with Nick and Sara and then to the movies. Drinks at Bob Roe's followed.

2011

I must be getting old, because I can't remember what I did last year! Anyone remember? :-)

2012

Our last New Year's without a kiddo running around.  We went to my in-laws for a chili dinner then we headed to the Deanda's to play some fun games ---In a Pickle, Over Under and Donkey Kong Jenga.  As usual, Nick and Matthew drank wine and got all philosophical while Sara and I chatted away.
