R is for Rest (36 Weeks)

R is for Rest:  I have never been a good nap taker.  Just ask my Mom. I think I made her life a bit miserable from ages 2-5, but now that I am 36 weeks pregnant I understand how awesome naps are.  However, it's a bit hard to take one at work since I can't fit underneath my desk to hide and take one.  So, I will settle for cuddling up with Tootsie on my days off from work while Matthew watches endless hours of football.  This is the one time of the year when I wish we had more than one TV in our house hooked up.  Football season eventually ends....right?

How far along? 36 Weeks

Baby’s Size: 6-7 pounds, 18-20 inches long

Weight Gain: +28 pounds (During the last trimester I have gained more weight, but a lot of it is water weight. I am swelling a lot in my feet and legs and some in my hands. The doctor is not worried and said it should go away shortly after giving birth.)

Bellybutton: I think I have one of the ugliest pregnant belly buttons. It's very flat, sticks out a bit and is brown.  To gross Matthew out I make him look at my belly button. Haha.

Stretchmarks: None yet.

Fitness:
Wednesday--1 mile
Thursday-- No Walk (snow!)
Friday-- 1.5 miles walk
Saturday-- 2 block walk (cold!)
Sunday-- 1.25 mile walk
Monday-- 1.5 mile walk
Tuesday-- 1.5 mile walk
Wednesday-- No walk (snow! cold!)
Total = 8.25 miles

Names:  Still trying to figure out the top picks for a girl.

Gender: Still do not know.  Half of my friends tell me I am having a boy while the other half say girl.  I am interested to hear people's guesses on the baby's size.  (Matthew was 10 lbs, 10 oz and 23.75 inches long when he was born.  I was 7 lbs, 11 oz and 21 inches long when I was born.)

Baby Movement: I feel the baby move the most when I am sitting at my desk at work or after I have a great meal. :-)

Sleep: Evidently, I snored so hard this week that I kept waking myself up...and Matthew.

Food: We are trying to make more home cooked meals since we've been eating out with friends and family over the holidays.  I made two casseroles to freeze for when the baby comes and we have a batch of chili in the freezer.

THINGS/PROGRESS TO DO: Started getting my hospital bag ready.  Bought curtain panels for the baby's room, some more onsies and pants.  Steph got us a baby grooming kit, too. (Thanks Steph!)  We also ordered a glider/ottoman for the nursery. (Thanks G&G!)

Best Moments of the Week: Spending time with Matthew, Tootsie and friends/family.

Matthew thinks the Boppy would make a great neck rest on an airplane ride. Ha!

Along with the Boppy, David gave us a glow worm and some books. Both David and I had glow worms when we were little....but the new ones look very similiar to Telle Tubby's. Hmm...Tootsie was not digging the glow worm.
