Graham has been going to his new in-home daycare for almost a month, so I thought it is time to write an update.
We LOVE our daycare! It is so nice to drop Graham off and see how happy he is to see Kayla and her two little dogs, and to pick him up and see he's still happy. He's also napping a lot better at this daycare. I think a lot of it has to do with being able to play with the other kids and just watching the two girls run around probably wears him out.
I know that deep down I will probably not be 100 percent happy with my child at daycare, because I'd like things to be different (as stated in http://slabrune.blogspot.com/#!/2013/08/a-daycare-dilemma.html), but when I drop Graham off at Kayla's I feel content knowing he's being well cared for and she is glad to have him there. The other kiddos seem to like Graham and love picking up his pacifier or toys and handing them to him. The two little dogs love having him around, too, and even when he pulls the long haired doxens hair it's like it did not even happen.
I admire people who do daycare, because I think it'd be hard to be at home all day taking care of other people's children. Children are all raised differently, so who knows what kind of kids will come to your daycare--children who are well behaved or children who run amuck, children who like to make messes or tidy children, the possibilities are endless.
For now I am forever grateful that we found Kayla (Thanks Jenni!) and that Graham is well cared for while Matthew and I are at work.
