I LOVE holiday weekends! But, I love them even more now that I do not work Fridays, so that means a 3-day weekend is now a 4-day weekend for me. It is so nice to have all this extra time with Graham (and Tootsie). Oh and Matthew, too!
Graham and I got up early on Friday and were out for a walk to the Wilsons by 8 a.m. After a quick stop there to pick up some swim diapers (Thanks Becca!) we meandered back home taking the hilly route. While Graham napped I showered then we headed to my parents' house for lunch and my grandparents happened to be there, too. In the afternoon we hung out at home and played. Graham drooled a lot...still no teeth, but he's sure making enough drool for them to come in anytime.
Matthew came home and we headed to Carlos O'Kelly's for dinner with Jon and Alex. Graham did pretty well and loved staring at Jon. After a bath, Matthew read Graham a bedtime story and I....
...went to meet Baby Chloe!! So adorable, little and pink! It was so fun to hold a newborn again.
On Saturday we drove down to Omaha during morning nap (Graham slept the whole way!) to visit the VanNormans!
We had lunch at Spirit World then went to Miss Lauri's for swimming and to see Emily and Tom (and Libby!). Later that night we had another swim and a late dinner with Katie, Nick, Nick's mom and brother. On Sunday we went to the Aksarben Farmers' Market and had lunch at Jack and Mary's before heading home. It was a lot of fun. (Thanks for letting us stay Miss Lauri!!)
Graham and I also had coffee last Friday morning with a good friend and cancer co-survivor Diane. She gave Graham these adorable pajamas (size 12-18 months), but I'm sad to say they fit him just right now, but I think he's going to outgrow them soon. (Thanks Diane!!)
On Monday Matthew sprayed more yards, so Graham and I went to Target. Graham got fussy and I tried to explain to him that Target is a magical place like Disneyland, but he did not buy it. In the afternoon we went to visit my Aunt Paula and Uncle Bob. My parents were also visiting, so Graham got to see everyone.
We also hosted a birthday dinner for Nick (Happy 30th!!), but I forgot to take some photos. Matthew smoked some ribs and I made a homemade apple/pear pie. Good food to end the good weekend. Happy Monday on a Tuesday!
