It's Turkey time....less than 24 hours from now we will be sitting down to stuff ourselves silly and I can't wait! But, until then, I plan to share what I am thankful for.
1. I am thankful for my crazy Schnauzer. Bows makes Matthew and I laugh every day with her stubborn, crazy personality. Even though she has been waking up at 4 a.m. every morning this week, I still am thankful for Bows. Dogs remind people of unconditional love.
2. I am thankful for my handy husband. He is very similiar to Tim the Toolman Taylor from Home Improvement, but he still gets projects done. He remodeled our bathroom, got insulation for our attic, and put four new windows in our house while working and going to school fulltime. He also goes along with my crazy ideas like putting the Christmas tree up in early November.
3. I am thankful for my family. They also put up with my crazy ideas and still tell people I am related to them. And they are willing to watch my crazy dog, even though I think she is close to bumping me out of my spot in the family tree.
4. I am thankful for my friends--new and old. Friends are the family you pick for yourself, and I think I picked some great ones!
5. I am thankful for nice weather this fall that allows me to be outside in November for walks, runs, yardwork, and driving safely on out of town trips.
6. I am thankful for my health. Something that should never be taken for granted and I try hard to treat my body well...you know with a run then some chocolate.
7. I am thankful to have a job (and not be marching around protesting the lack of jobs) and a warm, safe home.
8. I am thankful for honey mustard. Yum!
9. I am thankful for our great church and the friendliness of its members.
