Yesterday was a simply beautiful summer day. Temps were in the high 70's and there was NO humidity! I spent most of my lunch break outside with Bows.

Bows is not a quick walker, so we usually just go around half the block at lunchtime. (But, Matthew and I took her on a walk on Monday and Tuesday nights and she walked about a mile. I carried her the other mile. It was quite a workout carrying a 10.6 pound little doggie.)

Steph and I also got pedicures on Monday night. We've got to keep our toes looking good while it's still sandal season. Steph got coral, but I always get a funky color. This time it was purple!

My garden is out of control!

I planted one roma and one Early Girl tomato plant and they are producing juicy red tomatoes like crazy. I had so many I took some to work to share. And, I still have more sitting on my kitchen counter. I've already made 4 batches of homemade spaghetti sauce (see my previous post for a recipe).

I also planted a green pepper, chocolate pepper (it looks green, tastes the same, too), a Big Bertha pepper and a jalapeno pepper plant.

Matthew ate his first jalapeno poppers last night. David got him a handy cooker for the grill. All you need are jalapenos, cream cheese, bacon, and toothpicks.

My lavendar is doing lovely. I might bring this inside this winter.

My marigolds are keeping the bunnies away for the most part. But we have some darn neighborhood cats that like to sit on my plants!

Luckily, I have a killer guard dog! Woof!
