A few weekends ago, we ventured up to the PipeDream Campground (just north of Hinton, Iowa on the Floyd River) with Nick, Sara and Argos. There was free entertainment by Byron Kiel, who played his guitar and sang Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, and many other cover songs. He also wrote a few himself.
There was a huge bonfire! Unfortunately, we forgot stuff to make s'mores.
Bows and Argos came along. Bows was more interested in smelling everything while Argos wanted to eat as many woodchips as he could fit in his tummy. Too bad, they did not agree with his tummy.
We brought a cooler with drinks and snacks and just enjoyed sitting outside. Luckily, the bugs were not bad.
There is free entertainment most Saturday nights, and I know PipeDream has a festival coming up. Be sure to check out the website at
