Hello! What did you do this weekend? I did a LOT, and am looking forward to a 3-day weekend to get even more things done (and have some fun, too!).
Friday:
--Had drinks/appetizers with friends/family at the Marina Inn-Kahill's (They have 50% off apps and some drinks every Friday in September)
--Jogged 1.5 miles to Nick and Sara's house to hang out
Saturday:
--Went to Farmer's Market with Grandma and Bows. Bought Grandma some pretty flowers!
--Painted the bathroom door
--Went to lunch at Carlos O'Kelly's with Rebecca and her boys for a late b-day celebration
--Bought paint for my back door ($5 mistinted gallon of Exterior paint at Lowe's in a neat green!)
--Took Bows for a walk
--Decided to clean the basement while doing 6 loads of laundry. Rearranged, painted wall with water damage, moved Matt's work bench into his area.
--Had dinner with Matthew (mmmm Grapenuts!) then he went to the races while I returned things, went to Target, stopped at parents' house
--Worked out and watched old episodes of Gilmore Girls
--Went to bed tired!
Sunday:
--Slept in and missed church
--Made pancakes for breakfast (yum!)
--Did the dishes and more laundry
--Went to lunch at Cafe Brule in Vermillion, SD with Matthew
--Tasted 9 different wines at Valiant Vineyards Great Dakota Wine Festival (learned I should only take a "taste" and not drink the entire pour of wine. Nine pours of wine in one hour made me feel quite warm and fuzzy. My favorite was a sangria that was made with honey, blueberries, blackberries, 1/2 bottle dry red wine, 1 bottle sweet red wine, 1/2 bottle flavored water. Muddle the berries and honey then add liquids. It was sooo good!
--Cleaned out my flower beds and harvested our onions.
--Made hamburgers for dinner, sweet potato on the grill.
--Went to see "Hangover II" with David and Matthew
--Worked out (finished 30-day Shred and lost 2 inches on my hips!)
--Went to bed tired, but happy. I love productive weekends. And, I am excited for out of town guests this week! (Hi Beau and Amy!)
Plans for next weekend:
--Rip old brick tile off kitchen walls
--Prime kitchen walls
--Purchase new tile for kitchen
--Artsplash!
--Steph's 30th birthday party!
