Year 2: Anniversary Weekend

Matthew and I took an impromptu trip to Omaha for our 2nd wedding anniversary. We stayed at Tom and Emily's apartment, and got to spend some quality time with Libby. We brought Libby a "hamburger" dog treat and she ate the whole thing!

Then we ventured in Tom's awesome Mini Cooper to the Bass Pro Shop's Uncle Buck's restaurant for dinner. We tried alligator. (It tasted like chicken!) Then Emily and Tom had a sand volleyball game, so we went along to cheer them on.
It was a bit buggy/muggy out so we went back to their place to play some mean games of Catch Phrase. (I really need to purchase that game!)

In the morning, Matthew and I went to the Omaha Farmers' Market. We got green beans, a cucumber, and a great apple turnover. Plus we ate a ton of samples.

Then we walked across the pedestrian bridge from Omaha to Council Bluffs. However, it's closed on the Iowa side due to flooding.

It was a beautiful morning that quickly turned into rain showers.

So, we took a quick pic then I ran back to the car while Matt braved the weather to take more photos.

We met Nick and Katie at Ingredient (yum!) for lunch then stopped by Betsy's to say hi to her and Jennifer and Debra.

It was a fun trip and way to celebrate our second anniversary.

Here's to many more!
